Drawing as evidence of being there & the intimacy of touch made visible
My drawings explore presence through touch, repetition, and attentive looking.
Whether made through quick notation or sustained observation, each drawing holds a moment of encounter between eye, hand, material, and time.

These drawings were made during lockdown, when the Rudbeckias in my garden became daily companions.
Returning to them again and again, the series records a quiet dialogue with growth, change, and the need to stay close to something living.

Life drawing has been a constant thread throughout my practice.
Working from the nude keeps my looking honest — a discipline of presence, proportion, and immediacy that underpins everything I make.
