Painted outdoors in rural Catalonia, these oil paintings explore familiar views encountered on daily walks with my dog: woodland, olive groves, fields and distant mountains.

Choosing places that draw me back, I work mostly in one or two sittings, responding to the light, colour and atmosphere of the moment.

The paintings grow from the same sustained relationship with place as my land works, offering another way to look closely and explore the experience of being there.
